It is not necessary to be in Law Enforcement or be Latino to join. The NLPOA have civilian Associate memberships available for community members that embrace the NLPOA vision of strong communities and safer neighborhoods through community service.

Consulate General of Mexico
The Colorado State Chapter welcomes the Consulate General of Mexico to Denver on February 17. The Consul General was appointed by the President of Mexico to the Denver Post. The NLPOA hopes to assist in bridging relationships
Michael Nuanes Jr., a 6th Grader at Overland Trail Middle School in Brighton, Colorado; was nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference to be held in Washington D.C. in the spring of 2008. The NLPOA Colorado State Chapter proudly awarded a Scholorship to assist Michael with the cost to attend this most honorable event. Michael will take an important step toward becoming a leader in his School and community.
